Eating Cats???
My friend in Chicago just told me that a Korean in America admitted that Koreans eat cats. Wow in all my time in Korea I've never heard of it. I can see for sure that if this is true, it's a very, very small number of Koreans and it's not done where anyone can see it. In the past when Korea was poor I'm sure they ate just about anything, as they do in China. It is possible to eat dog in Korea, but it's rare. Relatively few restaurants serve it. In the town where I live there are many restaurants and I haven't heard any mention of a dog restaurant or eating dog. If there's any Korean eating cats it would be the poorest people living in the smallest towns, isolated from mainstream Korean culture. I want to find out more about the man and why he said this.
